Lovely baby elephants
- Nensi KHad an amazing day at the sanctuary, the elephants were well treated and were roaming freely. There was one baby elephant, one teenager and two older ones. Three of them approached the group while the teenager was somewhere else and didnβt feel like joining π. The day was very well organised, after getting a lot of information on the elephants (which they consider as family) we slowly approached them and went on a walk. As we walked in the jungle, Chanchai, the guide/owner, pointed out medicinal herbs, flowers and other animals and insects of the area. On top of that we got to observe the elephants going about their walk, eating food from the trees, scratching, etc. After the walk, we went back and had a lovely healthy lunch and could share the leftover food with the elephants and the chickens in the area. - Andreia CAfter much thought and research, we decided to visit Elephant Pride Sanctuary, and we couldn't have made a better choice! We contacted them via WhatsApp and on the agreed day they picked us up from our hotel in the center of Chiang Mai, and we set off for what would be the best experience of our lives! We made a stop to buy some fruit and then headed up the mountain to be met by Mr. Chanchai, who explained how we were going to spend the day and our three rules (fantastic I might add). After that comes the special part of bonding with those fantastic animals that you can only feel by experiencing them! We went with a small group which allowed us to personalize the experience even more. There were 7 of us and we walked freely through the jungle, doing what the elephants wanted, at their pace, not ours, always respecting them, especially granny! π Our delicious meal was prepared with completely natural ingredients, such as the rice grown by the family! - S KWe actually had the best day ever at this sanctuary and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking about visiting a sanctuary.
